The California State Senate has endorced the work and school stoppages by ilegal immigrants on Monday.

For me the big issue is not that the State Senate is supporting illegal immigrants. That is nothing new. The Senate has always been willing to pass things like drivers licences and in-state tuition for illegal immigrants.

But this takes it to a whole new level. For the first time in my memory at least, a legislative body has advocated the underming of its own economy and school system for the sake of a protest. (more…)
