That 52.1% in favor of the transfer, in addition to nauseating me, reinforced my unshakeable contempt for the vast majority of my generation. Then I woke up and realised, “Oh that’s right, I’m in America, land of free bread and circuses for the great unwashed. Self preservation is a relatively low priority in comparison to shopping for imported goods for as cheap as possible!” How naive of me to think that anyone might worry about a foreign power completely devouring our control over immigration to our own country, very much like a shark might a skinnydipper with a bleeding hangnail! Lest we forget, George Washington said,”Avoid foreign entanglements.”
